Well Control Instructor

Required Skills/Education

  • Current IADC WellSharp Supervisor Level Instructor accreditation
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent degree – with at least ten years of drilling or operational experience
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a Senior Supervisor or other managerial role
  • Minimum of two years as a certified instructor

Responsibilities

  • Deliver IADC Well Control courses, to include:
    • classroom instruction
    • score & review prep work exercises
    • simulator instruction
    • simulator assessment
    • review exam with students
    • schedule test retakes when necessary
  • Maintain training records and other administrative files
  • Communicate regularly with MDS administrative staff
