10-5-06 MDS completes renovation of facility

Murchison Drilling Schools, Inc. has just finished its facility renovation project. The quality of Murchison Drilling Schools Operational Drilling Technology and Advanced Well Control Course has been a known fact for many years and now our facility is unequaled in the industry. Murchison Training Center is a first class training facility. The following improvements were made:

Classrooms: The main classroom has been enlarged and is very spacious. In addition to being enlarged, a ceiling-mounted LCD projector was installed. New tables and comfortable leather chairs were also installed. New lights, ceiling tiles, carpet, blinds and electrical fixtures were added to the expanded classroom. The other two classrooms which are used for simulator training were also renovated.

Flooring: New tile was installed in all the bathrooms and hallways.

Exterior improvements: A new roof has been put on the building. The building waspainted and new exterior signage was added.

In addition to the facility renovation many other improvements have been made. All the simulators have been changed out with the most modern technology. Two CS Ultralight Portable Simulators and one CS Portable Simulator were purchased. The new simulators reflect changes, like touch screens and different stack arrangements, brought about by the 5th and 6th generation rigs that many contractors are now using.
